Abstract |
The article highlights the northern invasions that China had to deal with from the Huns and the Mongols. The veracity and nature of how the Huns lived from day to day posed a challenge to China and its military and government. While China always attempted to made peace with the Huns through treaties or marriages, the power of the invaders from the north always caught them off guard.
