I teach first grade in the Bethel Park School District. This story is a charming description of a little girl in Korea dressing up for New Year's Day. The story explains with care the sequence in which the little girl readies herself for the holiday. Each line in the book is accompanied with an illustration, so young children understand what her outfit looks like. The end pages of the story include explanations of the significance of new clothing for the start of the Lunar New Year. It is a beautiful way to introduce the culture of Korea to primary students.
