Three Gorges: Biggest Dam in the World

Synopsis
"From the land of the Great Wall comes the biggest dam on earth! Since the beginning of time, China has been plagued by a large, muddy, unpredictable killer: the Yangtze River. Now the Chinese have a plan to tame the river by building the monumental Three Gorges Dam. The dam is being built by 40,000 people and will be the world’s largest concrete structure. It is slated to be 650 ft. high, 2 + miles across, and will create a reservoir 400 miles long. It will use more material than 44 great pyramids, require 2500 people, cost up to 70 billion dollars and its hydroelectric generator will produce the equivalent of 15 nuclear reactors."
