This Curriculum unit has five separate lessons that will teach the students the political structure of Shogun Japan, the importance of the Kabuki Theater, The role of the samurai, the effects of the Treaty of Kanagawa, and the Ukiyo-e Artists. Each of the five lessons contain a teacher page and a student worksheet. The teacher page contains an overview of each lesson with objectives, materials and directions. It also has an extension activity which I find great. The student worksheets have an introduction to the lesson and directions on how to complete the worksheet. All the student worksheets have websites for the students to view and then questions to complete about the source.
I did not go to every website. The ones that I did go to I liked. However, there was one that would not load which may cause issues when using this unit.
