Good hand-on activities in geography and mapping

This unit considers "Asia" very broadly, including even Iran, Saudi Arabia and up to Turkey, areas that are infrequently discussed as part of Asia. Nonetheless, the unit is great for developing a hands-on understanding of Asia, broadly construed, as well as general geographic knowledge. The unit's section on Asian religion, while interesting, seems somewhat lopsided, and includes nothing substantial on Hinduism, but the notion of exploring religion through cultural, political, and geographical boundaries is good. It may be problematic that the text refers to the Sea of Japan. Would recommend for geography classes, and units dealing with mapping in general, to infuse Asian content.
