I have utilized this book with my students at the 9-10 grade levels for several years. My students are fascinated by the imagery the book provides. This book has been used as a supplement to my lessons on the practice of footbinding and has been used to support readings given in class. The x-ray images provided in the book are of particular usefulness. Due to the sexual nature of the practice, I have always been somewhat hesitant to give my students full access to the book. It is best used as a teacher resource. For anyone interested in teaching about the practice of footbinding this book is A MUST.
