Abstract |
Resuming the story of the Tang Priest, the Monkey King, and their fellow companions, we join them during their respite in a monastery in the country of Wuji. While there, the Tang Priest is visited by a ghost of the king of Wuji, who tells him of an evil wizard who has killed him and stolen the throne for himself. With this information, the Monkey King and his companion Pig go on a short adventure to recover the deceased king and help the Tang Priest defeat the fiend that stole his throne. An engaging and fun story, the exploits of the Monkey King never become boring. With animation stills on every page and interesting events to keep children attentive, this excerpt from the Journey to the West will not disappoint. Ages 7 & Up.
