Abstract |
A story about a kindhearted Uighur child, the tales tells us of his kindness towards those large and small. On day, he enters a kingdom where he sees that a boy is about to be executed because he could not escape the eye of the princess’ magic mirror because he asked her to marry him. Our hero, Xiawudong, tried to save his life by asking the princess to marry him. Throughout the story, he asks his animals friends that he had previously helped out to help him on his mission to stop the princess from continuing her evil ways. At the end, we see Xiawudong for who he truly is and are rewarded with a great moral lesson. A nice and simple story with engaging animation stills on each page, this story will surely delight adult and child alike. Ages 7 & Up.
