Abstract |
In order to let people in other countries know just what young Japanese are being taught in this field, ISEI is now publishing a series entitled "Japanese School Textbooks". The series brings together those portions of textbooks in the history field that deal with relations between Japan and foreign countries. This series deals with the period since the opening of Japan in the mid-nineteenth century after some 200 years of seclusion, a period in which relations with the outside world underwent particularly striking changes.
