This book is very thorough and easy to follow. It covers the basics of Chinese Calligraphy from how to hold the brush, choose the right brushes, basic brushstrokes, etc.... It also has a section on writing various Chinese words and phrases and covers the “The Five Golden Rules” of Calligraphy. There is also a chapter on the Five styles of Chinese Calligraphy. Overall, I found this book informative and easy to use and would recommend it for high school or even middle school students.
